PAC Federal Credit Union Privacy Notice

PAC Federal Credit Union is required by law to provide its members with this privacy notice. This notice describes our policies that are intended to protect your privacy and also our policies about how we share information that allows us to provide you with financial products and services.

Information We Collect About You

We collect information about you from:

  • Forms and applications that you complete;
  • Sources that you have provided to us in order to verify the information you have provided us;
  • Information that we receive from credit reporting services;
  • Information from companies that we may contract with to provide services that we are unable to.

Information That We Disclose About You

We may disclose information about you to companies that provide services to you on our behalf. These are companies that we may have joint marketing agreements with or companies that provide administrative services that enable us to provide certain financial services to you.   We may also disclose non-public information about you as required by law in order for us to process transactions on your behalf, provide information that you have authorized us to disclose, or when complying with court orders.

How You May Stop Certain Disclosures About You

At the present time, we do not intend to disclose non-public, personal information other than as described above. If in the future we intend to disclose such information, we will provide you with additional notice and will give you the opportunity to opt out if applicable.   The opt out does not apply to disclosures that we legally make to companies that provide services to you on our behalf or with those with we have joint marketing agreements.

How We Protect Your Information

We have implemented safeguards to protect your non-public information.   These safeguards include procedural, electronic and physical restrictions to access to your non-personal information to only those employees who need to know that information so that we may provide services and products to you.

How You Can Help

Members can help protect their privacy by following these simple guidelines:

  • Do not tell anyone your account numbers, credit or ATM card numbers, or personal identification numbers (PINS)
  • Don't give out your account numbers or social security number to other persons. If someone calls you and says that they are form the credit union and need your account number or social security number you should not give it out. The credit union staff already has access to this information and will not need to ask for it.
  • Let us know as soon as possible if you move or change telephone numbers. We can't warn you of possible fraudulent activity on your account if we can't reach you.
  • Notify the credit union right away if you suspect that someone may have gotten your account number fraudulently.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you: When you request to open an account, we will ask for your full name including middle name, your physical address, date of birth, social security number or tax identification number, or other information that will allow us to identify you. We will require a photo identification issued by a government agency, which would typically be your driver's license, or State Issued identification card.
